A fantastic piece of Japanese guitar history, this 1984 Tokai TST36H Limited Edition is a brilliant example of why vintage Tokais have earned such a loyal following.
Finished in a striking Candy Apple Red with matching headstock, this rare model features a basswood body, rosewood fingerboard and a pair of humbuckers for a fatter, punchier take on the traditional S-style platform. The vintage-style tremolo keeps things classic, while the slim, comfortable neck makes it an effortless player.
Built during Tokai's golden era, these early Japanese instruments are renowned for their quality, craftsmanship and value, offering a level of fit and finish that comfortably rivals many of their American contemporaries.
Incredible condition for a 41-year-old guitar. There are a handful of small cosmetic marks and light scratches from honest use, including a few very minor chips around the body edges, but nothing that affects playability. The frets are in excellent condition, the electronics work exactly as they should, and the guitar has been professionally checked over and set up in-house.
