This is where Tanglewood really start flexing.
The TW1000HSRCE sits in their Heritage range and it feels like it the second you pick it up — all solid woods, premium hardware, and a properly dialled-in Fishman system. It’s a dreadnought cutaway, so you’ve got that big, full-bodied acoustic sound, but with easy access further up the neck when you need it.
Tonally, it’s a great balance. The solid Engelmann spruce top keeps things clear and responsive, while the solid rosewood back and sides bring in depth and richness. It’s got that slightly scooped, piano-like thing going on — loads of low-end, sparkly top, and plenty of detail in between.
The Fishman Presys Blend system is a big plus as well. You’re not just getting a basic pickup — you’ve got proper control over your tone, with blend, EQ and feedback control, making it genuinely gig-ready straight out the box.
It’s one of those guitars that works just as well at home as it does on stage — and looks the part doing it.
