A beautifully preserved 1976 Guild Artist Award in Blonde/Natural, Guild’s flagship carved archtop. The carved spruce top is paired with a spectacular bookmatched figured maple back, figured maple sides and a multi-piece figured maple neck.
The detailing is every bit as distinctive as the woodwork: an ebony fingerboard with pearl/abalone split-block inlays, elaborate multi-ply binding, bound f-holes, the ornate pitcher-and-star headstock inlay and an engraved Guild harp tailpiece.
A floating DeArmond Model 1100 Rhythm Chief neck pickup provides the amplified voice, with the controls mounted on the pickguard and the carved top largely untouched. Gold Grover Imperial-style tuners complete the look.
Beautifully preserved for its age, with one notable ding that has been lacquered over and is shown in the photographs. Supplied with the pictured Guild hard case.
