There's something undeniably cool about a late-'70s Strat, and this 1977 USA Hardtail is a great example of why.

Finished in classic 3-Tone Sunburst, this guitar has all the character and feel you'd expect from a vintage Fender that's been well looked after over the years. The hardtail bridge configuration is far less common than its tremolo-equipped counterpart and gives the guitar a slightly different feel under the fingers, with excellent sustain and a direct, punchy response.

The guitar retains its original neck pickup, while the middle and bridge pickups have been replaced with an aftermarket units of unknown manufacture. Internally, it still houses its original CTS pots and retains a 3-way selector switch. Although Fender began introducing the 5-way selector around this period, many guitars continued to leave the factory with 3-way switches during the transition years, making this entirely in keeping with a 1977 example.

A fantastic vintage Strat that has clearly been played and enjoyed while avoiding the heavy wear often found on instruments of this age.

Supplied with a non-original hard case.
