A particularly attractive 1994 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Honeyburst, made in the USA during Gibson's centennial production year. It has the classic mahogany body, carved maple top, set mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard, paired here with an older Seymour Duncan JNJ and JBL humbucker set in place of the original pickups. This well-regarded combination gives the guitar a versatile voice with warmth and clarity at the neck and plenty of drive and definition at the bridge.
At 8 lb 13.5 oz, this is a notably manageable sub-9 lb Les Paul. It presents very well for its age, with attractive natural ageing, light surface scratches and general play marks, gentle yellowing to the plastics and binding, and normal tarnishing to the hardware. No obvious headstock break, neck repair or structural cracking is visible. Supplied in a period-correct brown Gibson hard case with pink plush interior, believed to be original.
