Made in Japan at the renowned Terada factory in July 2003, this Gretsch G6128T Duo Jet is everything you'd expect from a Japanese Professional Collection Gretsch—beautifully built, lightweight, incredibly resonant and full of classic Filter'Tron chime.
Finished in gloss black with white binding, this Duo Jet features a chambered mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, Bigsby vibrato and the unmistakable Gretsch control layout, including individual pickup volumes, master volume, three-way pickup selector and Gretsch's traditional tone switch. At just 8lb 11.5oz, it balances superbly and feels noticeably lighter than many comparable single-cut guitars thanks to its chambered construction. The Duo Jet has been a staple of players from George Harrison to Malcolm Young, offering everything from sparkling cleans and rockabilly twang to rich classic rock tones.
This example also benefits from a Vibramate String Spoiler, making Bigsby string changes far quicker and easier without permanently modifying the guitar.
Condition is very good overall. The front presents exceptionally well with a lovely deep gloss finish, while the neck and frets are in excellent condition with plenty of life remaining. The rear of the body shows a handful of light surface marks and scratches from normal use, but nothing that detracts from what is a very well-presented Japanese Gretsch.
Professionally checked over and fully set up in-house by our workshop and supplied with its original Gretsch hard case.

Good overall condition with honest signs of use throughout. The guitar has clearly been played and enjoyed, with a fair amount of light surface swirling and playwear across the gloss finish that's visible under direct lighting. Thankfully there are no notable dings, chips or unsightly damage, and it still presents very well overall. The neck, fingerboard and frets are all in excellent condition, while the hardware shows a light natural patina consistent with age. A clean, original Japanese Duo Jet that wears its years honestly without any major cosmetic issues.
