This 2008 PRS McCarty 5708 (Launch Limited Edition) is a rare and historically significant model, first revealed at the 2008 PRS Experience as the launch platform for the now-iconic 57/08 pickups—PRS’s take on vintage PAF-style humbuckers. This particular guitar is #4 of just 150 worldwide, with only an estimated 10 ever reaching the UK.

Built with premium tonewoods and craftsmanship, this McCarty features a stunning Quilted Maple "10" top in a rich Cranberry finish, paired with a Peruvian Mahogany body and neck. The Wide/Fat neck profile and Dark Brazilian Rosewood fretboard deliver a smooth and resonant playing experience, adorned with Mother-of-Pearl hollow bird inlays.

This guitar comes with a Paul Reed Smith signed and numbered cavity cover, kept separate in the case to preserve its integrity, while a blank cover is currently installed. The milled aluminium compensated wraparound bridge, non-locking PRS Kluson-style tuners, and push/pull coil split add to its tonal versatility. Included is the special edition 1957/2008 hard case.

A rare beast with a unique finish—built for players and collectors alike.
