A seriously cool and quite rare early Gene Baker build here — this B1-H semi-hollow comes from the early 2000s, right in that sweet spot when Baker guitars were being built in the USA with proper boutique attention to detail.
Finished in a deep blue burst over a beautifully figured carved maple top, this one really stands out — and the dolphin theme (inlays and soundhole) gives it a bit of personality without taking away from what is a genuinely high-quality player’s guitar.
It’s fitted with a pair of humbuckers and a wrapover bridge, giving it a simple, solid setup that lets the natural resonance of the semi-hollow body come through nicely. There’s a real liveliness to this one unplugged, and plugged in it covers everything from warm cleans through to thicker, driven tones with ease.
This example also features the Buzz Feiten tuning system, helping with intonation across the neck — a nice bonus and very much in keeping with boutique builds from this era.
A bit of a hidden gem, and not something you see every day.

Excellent overall condition.
This one has clearly been well looked after, with only very light, superficial signs of use visible under close inspection. The back of the headstock shows some light swirling from handling, but nothing out of the ordinary and purely cosmetic.
The body, neck and frets are all in great shape, and it presents very cleanly overall. It’s playing beautifully and has been fully checked over here as always.
