The Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special is one of those guitars that quietly earns a loyal following. Built in California, it combines Strat-style familiarity with Music Man's superb build quality, silky oil-finished neck and exceptional hardware.

This 2001 USA-built example is finished in the gorgeous Honey Burst over an alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It features the factory HSS pickup configuration, giving you everything from crisp, glassy single-coil tones through to a powerful bridge humbucker capable of classic rock and modern gain.

As expected from a Music Man of this era, the neck is an absolute joy to play. The hand-rubbed oil and wax finish feels incredibly smooth, whilst the compact body, locking Schaller tuners and Music Man vintage tremolo make it an exceptionally comfortable and reliable instrument.

Weighing just 7.72lbs, it's well balanced and easy on the shoulder for long rehearsals or gigs.

A fantastic alternative to a high-end Strat, offering impeccable USA craftsmanship with a character all of its own.

Professionally checked and set up in-house here at The Woodshed Guitar Shop and supplied with its original hard case.

The guitar presents beautifully and has clearly been well cared for throughout its life. There are a few small marks and dings around the body, including a small chip on the upper horn (pictured), along with a handful of light age-related cosmetic marks that are entirely in keeping with a well-looked-after 2001 instrument. The neck, frets and hardware are all in excellent order, and it plays exactly as you'd hope from a USA Music Man.
