Released for one year only, the Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster celebrates the guitar that started it all. Before the Telecaster name existed, there was the Broadcaster – one of the most important electric guitars ever made. Fender produced this limited edition throughout 2020 to commemorate the original 1950 model, with period-correct styling and Custom Shop-designed pickups.
 
Finished in Blackguard Blonde over an ash body, it features a chunky 1950 "U" profile one-piece maple neck, gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, vintage-spec brass saddles and a pair of Custom Shop Hand-Wound '50-'51 Blackguard single coils. It delivers everything you'd expect from a great early-style Fender – punchy bridge twang, warm neck tones and exceptional dynamic response.
 
This example is in excellent condition overall and comes complete with its original tweed hard case, Certificate of Authenticity, anniversary accessories and the original Broadcaster wiring kit, allowing the guitar to be converted back to the historic blend circuit if desired.
