The Fender Road Worn series quickly earned a reputation as one of the best-value vintage-inspired Stratocasters Fender has produced. Combining classic '50s styling, a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a genuinely broken-in feel, these guitars have become favourites among players looking for vintage vibe without vintage prices.
This 2008 example is finished in Black and features a comfortable maple Soft "V" neck and maple fingerboard, along with an upgraded Bare Knuckle Mother's Milk neck pickup that sounds absolutely superb. The pickup pairs brilliantly with the original Tex-Mex pickups, delivering everything from glassy cleans to punchy blues and classic rock tones.
These really are fantastic guitars for the money. Lightweight, resonant and comfortable, with a neck that feels instantly familiar, it's easy to see why the Road Worn models have developed such a loyal following.
A brilliant player's Strat that looks, sounds and feels exactly as a Road Worn should.

As intended, the guitar features Fender's factory Road Worn relic finish throughout. Beyond the original ageing there are some additional signs of use, including light scratches and marks consistent with a well-played instrument, but nothing unexpected or excessive.
The frets are in good shape with plenty of life remaining, the neck feels fantastic and the guitar plays exactly as it should.
