Here’s a fantastic early-‘90s USA G&L ASAT Special from 1993, finished in a gorgeous Metallic Candy Apple Red — a colour that really pops in person and suits the ASAT shape perfectly.
This one has clearly been played and loved over the decades, and it feels all the better for it. The maple neck has that lovely worn-in feel, with some lacquer wear on the fretboard exactly where you’d expect on a nearly 30-year-old instrument. The body has small dings, light marks and swirl wear, but nothing structural or distracting — just honest playwear that gives it character.
Fitted with Sperzel locking tuners, which were factory options or popular upgrades on early G&L models.
Despite its age, the frets are in excellent condition with very little wear — rare for a guitar of this era. Plays beautifully, sounds huge with those legendary G&L Jumbo MFD pickups, and weighs a comfortable 8.15lbs.
Comes with a non-original hardcase.
