The Gibson CS-336 is one of those Custom Shop creations that perfectly blends elegance with playability. Built with a carved mahogany back and sides topped with a figured maple cap, this 2007 model in Tobacco Burst oozes class and delivers the kind of articulate, resonant tone that only a small-body semi-hollow can.
It’s compact, comfortable, and incredibly versatile — equally at home playing blues, jazz, or singing lead lines with warmth and sustain.
If you’re after a Custom Shop Gibson that combines elegance with genuine player’s vibe, this CS-336 is a fantastic choice.

This 2007 CS-336 is in good condition overall and has clearly been enjoyed as a player’s guitar. There are light surface scratches and a little dullness in areas of the finish, but nothing that affects its feel or tone. The guitar was previously fitted with a Bigsby, which has since been removed; this leaves two small holes near the bottom strap button and another near the bridge, the latter of which has been wax filled. There’s also a small lacquer blemish on the top by the bridge, along with other light signs of use. None of these detract from its playability, which remains excellent thanks to a professional setup — it plays beautifully and sounds every bit as inspiring as a Custom Shop Gibson should.
