The first thing you'll notice is that incredible Master Grade maple top. It's one of those tops that constantly changes depending on the light, with deep flame figuring running from edge to edge. It's genuinely one of the nicest we've had through the shop.

Built by Patrick James Eggle's current company (rather than the original Patrick Eggle Guitars of the '90s), the Macon represents decades of refinement from one of Britain's most respected luthiers. Every inch of this guitar feels meticulously thought out, from the beautifully carved neck to the flawless fretwork and exceptional finishing throughout.
 
Plugged in, it's every bit as impressive.
 
Loaded with a pair of Mojo PAF humbuckers, it delivers everything you'd expect from a premium single cut—rich cleans, open vintage character, thick singing lead tones and plenty of bite when pushed. Engage the coil splits and you're treated to genuinely usable single-coil sounds, making this one of the most versatile boutique guitars we've had in stock.
 
At just 7lb 14oz, it's comfortably lighter than many traditional single cuts, making it a joy to play for extended sessions while retaining all of the sustain and resonance you'd hope for.
