Here’s something truly special — a 1966 Gibson SG Special in its classic Heritage Cherry finish, loaded with what we believe to be its original P90 pickups and wiring. This is the real deal: the kind of guitar that oozes history and delivers a tone you simply can’t bottle with modern builds.

The P90s are wild, expressive, and full of that unmistakable midrange bite. Whether you’re after creamy cleans or snarling overdrive, this guitar will happily oblige. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and incredibly playable, with plenty of life left in the frets.

It’s seen its share of honest playing wear over the decades — there is a superficial crack in the body on the upper horn, lacquer checking, and the kind of road-worn charm you only get with a genuine 1960s Gibson.

Comes housed in a non-original Gibson hard case, ready to be cherished by its next lucky owner. If you’ve been searching for an SG with true vintage soul, you’ve found it.

  • This is a well-loved vintage instrument with genuine 1960s character. The lacquer has aged beautifully with natural checking, and there’s visible playwear across the body, neck, and headstock, including marks and dings consistent with an instrument of its age. There is a crack in the body between the neck and the upper horn, the neck is stable, and the frets still have plenty of life, and the original Vibrola trem has been removed. Fully functional and set up to play exactly as a great vintage SG should. The serial number has been obscured due to natural wear, however, the original CTS pots are dated 1966.
